Look, I've voted Republican all my life, and I'm handicapped myself, but to be against prenatal screening, when that a) can save the lives of handicapped newborns, and b) can prepare parents for what they'll face, just seems completely backwards to me. It's putting newborns at risk, which is the one thing a pro-life person should be against.
Yes, I understand that a handicapped fetus can be selectively aborted because of a prenatal screening, but if you're pro-life, the problem is the abortion, not the prenatal screening.
