Mars Rover and Scientific Ignorance

Hi, Everyone.

A couple of days ago, on Google+, a photo was making the rounds purporting to show Mars with two suns in the sky.

What surprised me most wasn't some individual's clever use of Photoshop. What surprised me most was that anyone would actually believe the photo was legitimate. Am I naive in that? I mean, seriously, does anyone not know that our solar system has one sun, and that Mars is in our solar system??

I missed seeing that but people's ignorance and gullibility never fail to amaze me.

I guess I was too optimistic about my fellow humans. :)

I used to be too optimistic about my fellow "humans", too. One child, solar powered house and Earthship, hybrid vehicle, composters and gardens. Too few have followed the lead and now the population crash is inevitable and after that probably a thermal maximum extinction event from not stopping fossil fuel burning enough in time. If people did what I did when I did it, then neither event would be probable.
People in general were just not smart enough, too selfish, and lacking foresight. Ecocidal maniacs.

The scientific ignorance is staggering, Quicksilver. :(
