Dean Kaman "Luke" Arm

Postby Brian » Fri Jul 09, 2010 10:16 pm

I was looking for material for my blog, and I came across this video. It shows Dean Kaman's "Luke" arm, which has fully-articulated fingers, and can be controlled either by nerves, by switches in the device, or by switches put in the user's shoe.

If Kaman ever comes out with the leg version of these, I just might saw mine off and get an upgrade. :D

The only down side would be that I'd have artificial thighs, and my thighs currently do have some feeling, but I still think that would be a decent trade. :)
