It's Sunday. This must be Diane.

As you all probly remember, I was tragically widowed from the best lady in the world.

http://sondramylove.blogspot.com/

Well....... an unexpected "downside" (if such there be) of a really TERRIFIC marriage is that I now ...MISS.... the sharing and fun we had.

Soooo..... I enrolled in Match.com.

Holeeee SMOKES!

This is like being 15 again. But without the convenience of being able to pick from an entire schoolroom of girls whom you can get to know just from their demeanor and daily reactions.

Which MEANS.... "dating".... aw MAAANNNN!

Any of you guys who think it's "FUN" have not done it in your later years. Sure, there IS an element of fun, but essentially it is work.

Sorta NICE work, but still work.

So..... today is Diane. 1:00 PM at the coffee shop.

And then begins the dance. I've finally settled on a FAR more direct approach but that's after a few previous "dates" (hate that term) and the realization that "cutting to the chase" is more my style and far more productive in making the decisions on whether to ...continue.

Go hug your WIFE! Huggem if ya gottem.

(I ...have... had some pretty explicit exchanges by email though.... and no I ain't gonna post em)
:D

A real GODSEND has been a lady "buddy" I've known for a few months. (almost since my loss) She HAS a "boyfriend" (hate that term, too) which is GOOD. She and I "hang" together and he's out of town and we just watch movies and go driving around. She's a real sweetheart and I've seen her buy a dying friend a ring just to cheer her up. MIGHTY keen lady. I'm thankful for having her.

Premature exclamation. ;) I now only place REAL importance on "date" number two.

That "onesie" is a doozy. I was about to say "nice to have met you" to one of them, but she was already halfway up her driveway. :rofl2: All SHE could think about was the "skeeters" eating her.
I can state with unequivocal clarity that ANYONE WALKING ALONG GORGEOUS PONDS WHO IS PRIMARILY WORRIED ABOUT THE SKEETERS IS NOT GONNA HAVE ANUDDER "DATE!"

Not wif me anyhow.

If this is the future I need to dye first I might go as a redhead this time though, with raven streaks and lightly tinged purple highlights, also beads..........acres and acres of beads in my beard and ear hairs, enough to trip up the Pope and a few Alter boys. But with more style and decor enough decor to make Andy Warhol turn bum up in his grave (If he is not already).

Kazoo, I lost my wife in 1995, I did things the old fashioned way and waited for life to unite me with another soulmate.

it took just over two years and a mind set that said I was not looking for a replacement .I have been happily remarried since.
