What are you talking about? The Administration responded in a very timely manner, military assets were involved early, and early on Obama stated BP needs to be held accountable and pay for the clean up. Sheesh ... this isn't the Bush era, where it takes forever to respond to a disaster because he put his poorly qualified born again friends in charge of important Departments, or where you sit and stare for 7 minutes after hearing "the Country has been attacked" whispered in your ear, not even knowing if the attacks will continue, be nuclear, etc. Obama responded lightening fast compared to those lame-asses so you should be happy with the current Administration's timely responses.

Yes if only Bush had reacted as fast as this to Katrina instead of hiding at his ranch playing I spy with his security detail.

I would much rather have Obama in a crisis than the entire GOP.

I'd rather have Michelle Obama in charge of a crisis than that dopey FEMA director friend Bush appointed.

You two are ignoring the facts and letting what you "think" happened rule your words..

From Wikipedia:

President Bush signed a $10.5 billion relief package within four days of the hurricane,[5] Within 1–2 days of the hurricane, The State of Louisiana National Guard troops arrived with relief packages, and participated in security and rescue operations.[citation needed] However, members of the United States Congress and others charged that the relief efforts were slow because most of the affected areas were poor.[6] There was also concern that many National Guard units were short staffed in surrounding states because some units were deployed overseas and local recruiting efforts in schools and the community had been hampered making reserves less than ideal.

On the Oil rig:

Not until nine days after the explosion did the Obama administration acknowledge the possibility of “a spill of national significance. That lag delayed an official request for help from the Defense Department.

Now the best estimate is that the rig is leaking about 200,000 gallons of oil per day. If engineers have to drill down and install a relief well to stop the leak, the work will take about 90 days. Given estimates of what already has leaked, that could be three Exxon Valdez spills headed for the gulf coast and, in the worst case, South Florida.

The facts are his admin was slow to respond, while he was too worried about the AZ law on illegal immigrants, and bashing the tea Party members.

Form a local paper in Louisiana:

"Another disaster in the Gulf of Mexico is heading for the shorelines of Louisiana. Once again, the federal government has bungled the response. In contrast to President Bush, who waited four days after Katrina to send federal help to New Orleans, President Obama has waited nine days to act after the horrific oil disaster in the Gulf.

In the meantime, precious time was lost, the oil is now on the coastline and the effort has changed from containment to clean-up. This is just another incident to expose the slow moving federal government cannot be trusted to assist in a disaster situation. It should have been a top priority for the Obama administration in the minutes after the disaster, not waiting over almost ten full days to take serious action. "

"The rig exploded on April 20, but a state of emergency was not called until April 29. In the span of nine days, the federal government squandered valuable opportunities to deal with the spill. With a rig leaking 210,000 gallons of oil per day, the cost to our state will be immense, certainly in the range of billions of dollars. "

Face it......Obama was late. As bad as Bush was, and you guys all agree, Obama was almost 2 times later...but I am sure you'll find some way to justify it.

What's the matter...too hard to deal with facts?...You wouldn't believe the Fox links anyway. Wiki is the favorite with the lefties, so there can't be a better link..

The facts suck don't they?

Sounds like you're relieving BP of any responsibility since you're flat out claiming Obama's to blame. Nice way to politicize an ecological disaster.
