I know exactly what I'm doing.

It is your duty to forgive me and pray for me.

Wrong. Our only duty is to pray for you. Forgiveness comes from God. You have done nothing against us. It is God you are making fun of. He is the one you will have to deal with sooner or later. Good luck.

When I die I will be turned to ashes in a cremation oven.

The end, no flames of hell, no eternal heaven, no magic referee in the sky to answer to.

I know this, and the thing is deep down I think you know this as well.

Two points:

1) With all due respect, Ninja, you don't know what happens after you die. You assume your body will be cremated, as per your wishes, but you don't even know that much. And as far as an afterlife goes, you don't have any clue, because none of us does.

I did this in the old forum, but it's an experiment that bears repeating.

Raise your hand if you've ever been dead. (And I mean really dead. None of that "My heart stopped for a minute and a half" crap.)

2) If this is a religious discussion, we might consider moving it there. I think it's appropriate for discussion.

Okay if we really want to split hairs, I don't "believe" in any Gods, an afterlife, a spirit or a soul.

Please see Ninja's pic above to observe where your points come from.

It's the hair-splitting that makes me consider myself an atheistic agnostic, rather than a strong atheist. A lot of people (including a lot of atheists themselves) confuse not believing in any gods with knowing no gods exist.

Brian, don't bother. This whole thing has been discussed time and again. Frank, and ninja both have made it clear enough how they think about Christians and our faith and our God. I have nothing more to say to either of them on the subject. As far as I'm concerned, they don't exist. Since there doesn't seem to be an ignore button here, I'll just do it.
