He raises a very important point, what moral statement or action could a believer put forward or take that a non-believer couldn't put forward or take?

Also when you ask the question "can you think if any examples where a religious person committed evil acts because of their religion?" you can think of countless examples.

Go back to what I actually posted and read it again, let it slosh around your noggin for a while then come back with something that actually makes sense and progresses the debate.

Looking throughout history, I would say that religion has caused more evil than good and the world may have been a better place without it. I don't think the absence of religion would change human nature, but it sure has its share in fueling the fire.

Anyone that needs a religion to teach them morals and compassion towards others, or even worse.... anyone that uses religion to justify their lack of morals and compassion towards others (which has been demonstrated throughout history) needs to be in jail or locked up in a mental institution.
