Amazon Opening up a Fan Fiction Outfit

I find this article interesting.

Amazon has created "Kindle Worlds", with the purpose of allowing authors to produce (and get paid for) licensed fan fiction.

What do you think of an effort like this? All I can say for sure is, J.D. Salinger would not be amused. :)

Makes you talk a little lower

I see Amazon is expanding their kindle range. I was thinking about getting a kindle at one stage but we went with ipad as my kids love their games.

Kindles and iPads serve very different purposes. I have a Kindle e-reader and a Kindle Fire. I wouldn't read a book on the Kindle Fire (or any other tablet) unless that was the only way I could read something, and I obviously wouldn't be able to play a game on an e-ink Kindle reader. I think they both have their places. :)

When selecting a digital reader we wanted something that you can read ebooks and games(as the kids like their digital content) . For dedicated bookworms kindle would be the best option.
